In Memory of Rose Laiter

In Memory of Rose Laiter

May 15, 1934 - April 14, 2023

Rose Laiter was a child survivor of the Holocaust. She escaped the Warsaw ghetto with her entire family including her 3 sisters and parents, hiding and running in the woods for years (learning 6 languages along the way). After coming to America at 16 years old, she committed her life to education, getting her undergraduate and masters degrees. She always felt strongly about sharing her story with anyone willing to listen and teaching in various settings. She was always filled with gratitude and love for her family.

Her 5 grandchildren are committed to preserving her legacy by continuing to share her story and endorse educational and awareness efforts to truly never forget. Please consider joining us in this mission and donating to 3GNY in memory of Rose Laiter.

3GNY is an educational non-profit organization founded by grandchildren of Holocaust survivors. 3GNY’s WEDU (We Educate) initiative empowers grandchildren of survivors to learn and compellingly share their family's Holocaust experiences with students and diverse communities. 3GNY also raises awareness about human rights issues and genocide – past and present.
